What Services & Programs Do We Offer?

Initial Assessment

During our first meeting, we’ll take the time to get to know you and your dog while directly observing any challenges are you are wanting to address. If they feel it is helpful, our experienced trainers might bring one of their own well-trained dogs to join the session.

This engaging 60-minute assessment is designed to explore the best tools and techniques for effective dog communication. Our goal is to strengthen the bond between you and your dog, create calmness in your canine companion, and build your confidence in managing your dog’s behaviour safely.

At the end of the session, you’ll receive simple, actionable homework tailored to your dog’s needs, along with our trainers recommendations for moving forward with training. Together, we’ll set you and your dog up for success in achieving your training goals!

One on One Training Session

In our one-on-one dog training sessions, we focus on empowering you to become a calm, confident leader for your dog. You’ll learn proven tools and techniques to bring out the best in your pup, while building a stronger bond between you both.

Our training sessions cover key areas such as:

• Understanding your dog’s body language for better communication

• Setting boundaries and respecting thresholds to create structure

• Mastering effective redirection techniques for unwanted behavior

• Knowing when to use praise and correction for optimal results

• Managing your energy to influence your dog’s behavior

• Choosing the right equipment for a balanced, happy relationship with your dog

Pack Walks

Think of pack walks as bringing the dog park to you—only in a more controlled and structured setting!

Pack walks focus on your dog’s socialization skills and teaching them how to interact with dogs of various temperaments. While training sessions are all about you, pack walks are designed specifically for your dog’s growth and learning.

Our experienced trainers bring along their own diverse pack of dogs, creating the perfect setting to meet your dog’s unique needs. These walks safely expose your dog to both balanced and less balanced dogs, helping them build the confidence to navigate real-world situations.

What We Cover During Pack Walks:

• Proper introductions for safe socialization

• Teaching social manners and managing energy levels

• Encouraging appropriate play behavior

• Learning how to disengage when necessary

• Finding balance between interaction and calmness

• Utilizing praise and rewards effectively

• Learning to give and receive corrections in a positive way

Boarding

Are traditional dog boarding options not the right fit for your pup? Looking for extra peace of mind while you're away? No worries—your dog can stay with us at The Pack, where they’ll become part of our family!

What We Offer During Your Dog's Stay:

• A kennel-free environment for dogs who aren’t crate trained, with cozy crate options for those who prefer it.

• Comfortable personal space tailored to your dog’s needs, whether they like being crated or not.

• Two daily walks of 1-3 kilometers to keep your dog active, happy, and healthy.

• Playtime in the yard with Kelly’s pack (if your dog is up for it!) to encourage safe socialization.

• Lots of love and attention—we treat every dog like one of our own, with plenty of snuggles and care!

• Daily updates via text and videos so you can stay connected and see how much fun your dog is having.

We keep limited space to ensure that Kelly can provide individual attention and dedicated care to each dog.

Boarding Only: $125 per night/dog

Board & Train Stay

Can’t take your dog with you but want to ensure their training stays on track? Our Board & Train Stay is perfect for dogs that need extra support beyond traditional boarding.

For dogs facing training challenges, we offer a minimum 4-night stay to help fine-tune and establish new behaviors in a structured and supportive environment.

What’s Included in Our Board & Train Stay:

• All the benefits of our exclusive boarding package, including personalized care and daily walks.

• Public socialization and desensitization through real-world activities like running errands, meeting friends, and everyday outings.

• Participation in training sessions to reinforce good behavior and practice in new environments.

• Continued support for your dog’s existing training plan, ensuring consistency while you're away.

For dogs needing more assistance, we offer in-depth Board &Train Programs designed to help establish a solid training foundation or address more serious behavioural issues.

Board & Train: $150 per night/ dog + 5% gst

Community Education

With a background as a high school math and science teacher, Kelly excels in public speaking and education. Her passion for rescue dogs—often overlooked due to their challenges—drives her to share that enthusiasm with others, aiming to create a better future for both our community and our furry friends.

Since founding PB and Chi Dog Rescue Society, she has hosted numerous educational symposiums for audiences ranging from elementary to high school students, daycare centers, special needs programs, and shelter seminars.
