Kelly

Pronouns: she/he/they/them

The Pack Dog Training was founded by Kelly Argue in 2017.

Kelly has always had a love for dogs, starting with growing up in a household where she had four that were her best friends. Her love for dogs became her passion that lead Kelly to start PB and Chi Dog Rescue Society in 2012, where since then she has worked hands on with over 500 dogs.

Experiencing some of the behaviours and issues these rescue dogs coming out of the shelter system were having, and just how few resources there were for them, Kelly got her certification in dog training and started working hands on with the reactive and unsocialized dog in particular.

Kelly’s Areas of Training:

  • Severe Reactivity

  • Dog & Human Aggression

  • Socialization (with humans and/or other dogs)

  • Desensitization Training

Kelly uses her own skills, along with those of her own 12 pack of pups, to help dogs and families all over the lower mainland to find their family harmony. She always says “whatever your issue, I have a dog for that!”

Mais

Pronouns: she/her

Mais has always had a deep appreciation for animals, sharing life with a variety of furry, four-legged companions over the years. But it was wolfdogs and northern breeds that truly sparked a passion for learning about canine behavior.

That journey started two decades ago with the decision to welcome a wolfdog into the family. Through hands-on experience, training, and research, Mais developed a strong understanding of these intelligent but often misunderstood breeds, leading to a broader interest in dog training. With experience in obedience training, canine cognitive behavioural therapy, working with anxious or reactive dogs, and training dogs for film, TV, and trick work through Canine Costars, Mais brings a wealth of knowledge to every training session and is dedicated to helping owners and their dogs build trust, confidence, and a lasting bond.

Areas of Specialty:

  • Puppy Training

  • Canine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • Anxiety & Fear-Based Behaviours

  • Disruptive/Unwanted Behaviours

  • Reactivity – Including Behaviours Associated with Aggression

Whether it's guiding a nervous pup to confidence or helping a reactive dog find calmness and balance, Mais believes in a compassionate, tailored approach to training that emphasizes the dog’s and family's needs.

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened."
